What we collect
Forms and inquiries. We collect your email address, any name or company details you provide, your topic and message, and the capacity or compute requirements you choose to share. These can include hardware, quantity, location, capacity type and delivery timing. We also record the submission page and browser user agent. A capacity-map handoff may prefill information about the opportunity you selected.
Accounts. We process your email address, account details and sign-in activity. Third-party sign-in can supply your name and profile picture. Password authentication uses a password hash, rather than storing your password in readable form. Product accounts require a work email.
Supplier portal. We collect organization details, membership and invitation information, capacity submissions, supporting documents, correspondence with our team and revision history. During company setup, we may automatically retrieve your company's public website using your verified email domain to suggest company details. You can review or correct those suggestions. When you choose to organize a capacity description automatically, we process the text you provide.
Usage data. We collect information about browsers, devices, page visits, navigation and interactions. On the public site, a successful contact submission associates your email address, company and selected interest with analytics. In the app, usage events are associated with your account. App session recordings may show displayed content; typed inputs and password fields are masked. Supplier onboarding and the supplier portal are excluded from app analytics and session recording. Query strings and URL fragments are removed from captured URL properties.
How we use it
We use information to answer inquiries, match requirements with capacity, arrange introductions, operate accounts and the supplier portal, improve our services, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
Where EU or UK data protection law applies, the relevant basis depends on the purpose: taking steps at your request before a contract or performing a contract with you; our legitimate interests in managing business relationships, operating and securing our services, and understanding their use; or complying with legal obligations. Where consent is required, it must be obtained for that processing and can be withdrawn. Agreement to our terms is not consent to optional tracking.
Automatic processing helps prepare drafts and company suggestions for review. It does not sign agreements, verify capacity, approve a submission or publish information automatically.
Who receives it
We use providers of hosting and infrastructure, databases, authentication, email delivery, bot protection, analytics, internal messaging and AI processing. Inquiries are stored in our database and forwarded to our team by email and internal messaging. Authorized Era Compute staff can review supplier submissions.
AI processing is used for supplier intake and company suggestions. It can process the description you provide and relevant public company website content. Under the provider's default API terms, that content is not used to train its models. Limited retention for abuse monitoring may still apply; disabling application storage does not mean zero retention by the provider.
We share operator or buyer details with a potential counterparty when the party whose details are involved asks us to make an introduction or agrees to engage. Submitting or qualifying capacity does not authorize publication. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal data.
Where it is processed
We are a US company and use service providers in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and the European Union, including when supplier text or public company website content is processed by an AI provider. Data protection laws can differ between countries.
International transfers subject to EU or UK data protection law require an applicable transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. You can contact us for information about the arrangements applicable to your data.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and browser storage for authentication, security and analytics. Analytics can recognize a returning browser and record how the website and app are used. External booking links take you to a separate scheduling service, which has its own privacy information.
The control below turns off analytics on era.dev in this browser when the analytics service is available. It does not delete earlier records or change analytics on app.era.dev. Clearing browser storage or using another browser may remove your preference. For app analytics requests, contact Era Compute.
Retention
We retain inquiries and relationship records while needed to respond, manage the relationship and handle related claims or obligations. Account and supplier records support the ongoing account and organization relationship. You can request deletion through our contact route. Closing an individual's account does not automatically delete records belonging to their organization.
Retention depends on the purpose, account or relationship status, applicable obligations and service settings. Analytics and recordings follow the configured retention periods of the analytics service. Some records and backups may remain for security, legal or recovery purposes after an account closes. Contact us for the retention information applicable to your records.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy of your personal information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing relies on it, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Send a privacy request. You do not need a product account. We may need information to verify your identity. For EU and UK requests, we normally respond within one month; where the law permits an extension, we will explain it within that period. You may also complain to the data protection authority in your country, including the UK Information Commissioner's Office where applicable.
Changes
We update this policy when our practices change and revise the date above. Where required, we will give additional notice of material changes.
